Floating

[2011]

I’m floating back
In love with you
A year old fling
That feels brand new
You’re comfortable
You know my moves
You’ve walked my walk
Been in my shoes
I’m slipping back
To where we were
Was feeling lost
Your kiss, the cure

I find myself drifting back to you, like a message in a bottle makes its way to shore. Inevitable. You’re just so familiar, damnit; your face, your arms, your chest. Your chest is a playground, and my fingers frolic in the grass as you play with my back.  It’s all rushing back to me in a giant wave, gently urging the bottle toward the sand with every movement of the sea. The message inside is clear and simple: stealing my heart again is like taking candy from a baby.
